The Solstice House Group Home is available to youth between the ages of 15 – 17. This program attends to the needs of youth who may have experienced significant distress in their homes or their community. Youth eligible for this program will have identified needs that exceed the resources of a foster care placement but who no longer require on-going treatment. Youth may reside in the program for the period of time required for their transition to independence or another more appropriate placement up to a maximum of 18 months.

Solstice House Independent Living Preparation Program

The independent living preparation program will provide a 6-9 month placement and services for youth 16-18 years of age. These youth will have graduated from the group care program or from an alternate placement to a suite on the lower level of the facility. These youth will have demonstrated that they are sufficiently mature to successfully participate but still require consistently available guidance/support before being suitable for independent living.
